Therapeutic Group Hatha Yoga Classes

Doing regular and moderate exercises, such as Hatha Yoga, is one of the most important parts of the sequence to true health.

Practicing in a small group offers a great opportunity to learn Yoga practices in a semi private environment, and this allows Atsuko to observe your practices more closely and answer any questions you may have.

The main aim of practicing Hatha Yoga with Atsuko is to experience true deep relaxation.   Certain practices, such as posture work and breathing practice, are prelude to it and are introduced to prepare the body and mind in order to get to and be able to experience deep relaxation.

During the practice, a meditative and mindful way of practicing Hatha Yoga is very much encouraged.  The skills and techniques are taught in a step by step style, and the content of the sessions is gradually developed utilizing one or a combination of the following easy and simple practices:

  • Posture work
  • Breathing practice & technique
  • Imagery practice
  • Deep relaxation
  • Meditation
