Needling
Practitioners of traditional acupuncture see that there is a networking system interconnected by many energy pathways in our bodies. Sometimes, these can become obstructed or malfunctioned, and the vital energy or Qi cannot flow freely. This can be caused by injury, illness, poor lifestyle, inappropriate emotions, and/or individual’s inherited constitution.
According to the theory of Chinese medicine, by inserting fine needles into specific acupuncture points along these pathways, the obstruction can be reduced or cleared and the malfunction can be improved.
Also certain actions of the organs of the body are improved as those vital internal organs are interconnected with and accessed by the energy pathways in the body. Traditional acupuncture restores the body’s natural balance and triggers its healing response.
Depending on the acupuncture points selected, you may be lying on your front or back. Occasionally, you may be asked to sit on a chair.
The acupuncture needles are ultra fine, sterile and single-use. You may not notice them being inserted into the skin. However, should you experience any discomfort, Atsuko will make any adjustments necessary.
